orkid and her friend met lee ah loong (he referred himself to her as jason) at his stall one day to buy some takeshi kaneshiro movies. orkid was mesmerised by jasons eyes. and jason at the same time felt the same chemistry. (in this part of the movie, all the sounds of people talking and music stops..haha). orkid and her friend later on discovered that jason had left his phone number with the CDs that they purchased. so they got in touch and became close friends. at this point, both orkid and jason were seeing different people. orkid had a boyfriend (whose a stupid, fuckin dipshit cos he tried to take advantage of her), and jason was seeing jimmys (loan shark) sister.
so, lalala, dididi, skip all the romantic shit, one day jasons friend keong gets attacked by the loan sharks - thank god he didnt die. and one day, jimmy got pissed at jason for getting his sister pregnant (which is true by the way), but they didnt get the chance to cos right before jimmy came jason was talkin to orkid on the phone and orkid sempat tell his father and the police sempat datang (which is in a quite short time frame i might add). so jimmy was shot i think and one of his gang members got killed. jason was finally free of the assholes.
after finding out he got a girl pregnant, he told orkid in a letter. and orkid just flipped. lets just say she WASN'T cool about itla. jason made attempts to approach her but she didnt let him, neither did her friends. she was bummed dude. jason wrote her a letter one time but she didnt care to read it. at the same time orkid got a scholarship to england to study, so meaning she had to leavelor. after quite a while, it was time for her to leave. and she STILL hadnt read the letter jason wrote her. on the same day (in a different scenario) keong pujuk jason to see her off at the airport, and he thought about it and decided he would. back to the other scenario. orkid, mom, and dad were in the car on the way to airport when her mom urged her to read the letter. so she finally did.
AWW..now this is damn sweet man..jason wrote something about how the girl who he got pregnant aborted the baby and didnt want to be with jason. here comes the sweet part - he said that he wanted to write a poem for her but he couldnt. he was thoughtless (he love writing poetry). he did not get any ideas from god because orkid was the gift from god to him..AWW..anyways, she was crying in the car. her mom kept tellin her to call jason and tell him she loved him so that he knows. so she did. she tried to dial the first time, but tak dapat. a couple times, tak dapat. last time baru dapat. so she told him she loved him and he said 'i know..i love u too'....
he had already died in this scene in an accident. tsk..tsk..sedih sial!! so i guess it was his soul listenin to her words. his soul wanted her to leave for england in peace. and i guess (unlike other movies) this saves time from all the cryin and drama and all that..but yala..I HATE THE ENDING!!!!!!!!!
all in all i thought the movie was original and very real. i think many can relate well to the story and yeah..FINALLY A MOVIE WHERE THEY SPEAK GOOD ENGLISH!! ;)..
anyways, i know mesti dah ramai gila yg dah watch dis movie..this is jus my intrepretation and my way of tellin it. for those who havent watched the movie..SORRY!! i spoiled your suspense..haha..leave any comments if you have any.
